Formula E: High Voltage
The Play-to-earn Starter Pack!
The initiatory game, Formula E: High Voltage, incorporates a play-to-earn feature and is designed for the eco-friendly motorsport. Winning is all that matters in this game as it directly translates into increased token rewards. So the more you win, the more you earn; as simple as that.
How to launch the game?
Launching the game can sometimes feel like a lot to handle especially if you are new to the world of play-to-earn games, but we are here to walk you through it.
To get started, visit the official website and click on ‘connect wallet,’ then follow the given step-by-step instructions and click ‘play’. After receiving your starter cars and drivers, you will need to load REVV tokens, and you are good to go!
How to score and win?
Once you enter a race, your drivers will automatically participate in qualification races on your behalf. Your position in these races determines where you start the actual race. Also, securing the pole position will give you a head start and free bonus points if racing in a battle league.
In the actual race, you have three tools that influence your drivers. You need to utilize these tools strategically in order to overtake your opponents, all while managing your car’s battery, because you definitely would not want to run out of juice as it significantly slows down your ride. Let’s have a look at these tools:
1. Driving modes
You can choose from three different driving modes, ranging from safe to aggressive. Since it directly affects your speed, you may want to spend the majority of your time in aggressive driving mode.
2. Battery regeneration
You have the option to regenerate your battery when it gets low. However, you should be tactical when using this ability as it slows down your car.
3. Attack mechanism
There are areas on each course that are marked on the ground with green or red arrows on the map view, called attack zones. Activating attack mode before entering each of these zones allows you to use a boost, similar to nitrous.
How does the rewarding system work?
While you can always race against bots for free, participating in battle leagues requires you to pay an entry fee of 25 REVV (approximately $0.29). You will receive a portion of the prize pool depending on your ranking.
The 1st place will receive 40% of the total winnings, the 2nd place 19%, and the 6th will receive only 5%.
Good luck!
